You will find it easy to join the “family” at MGA. Our environment
is friendly, open and intended to encourage collaboration.
Our intent is to provide functional and affordably designed
buildings for the financial industry: banks, credit unions and thrifts.
We have found that an open approach, where all team members have input, works
better for the client, the building design, and results in a more productive
staff.
The wide range of projects we work on means that every
person here has the opportunity to be a “project architect” on a limited
scope project within months of starting. Even those right out of school
will be challenged immediately. When possible, we include the project team
in client meetings and site visits during construction.
The typical project that a new intern might be responsible
for would be a 3,000 sf remodel of a bank lobby within an existing building.
Along with the principal-in-charge, the project architect will be involved in
space programming, field measurement, CAD documentation, design presentation,
construction documents, shop drawing approvals and field visits.
Every single architect at MGA is expected and encouraged to
become a project architect as soon as he/she is prepared and ready.
Everyone works as a team to help each other, those with more experience are always
available to advise and assist.
We are strong supporters of the NCARB IDP program and reimburse registration fees and costs of successfully completed architectural, interior design and LEED exams. We provide paid time-off for the exams and also offer study materials and to help employees prepare.
