Excerpts
from our letters of recommendation... |
|
MGA has done quite a
bit of architectural work for us: two ground-ups, several remodels, a new
logo and a signage program to increase our brand identity in northeast
Texas. They have always done a great job, we wouldn’t consider using anyone
else. |

We are now on our
fourth building project with MGA. They know the banking business, it is easy
to communicate our goals and needs. The final product has been outstanding. |

Our schedule called
for our de novo bank to be open in less than four months. Not only did MGA
get the plans done on time, they helped us negotiate with the landlord, find
a contractor and monitor the construction schedule and cost. I would
recommend them highly. |

We wanted an
aggressive approach to retail merchandising. MGA gave us a functional
building, attractive day and night, with the flexibility to display products
in the lobby. Our members have been very complimentary, and the building won
a design award within weeks of opening. |

Within a week or two
of programming for our new building, MGA came back with a design that we
enthusiastically endorsed. It was exactly what I was looking for, first
crack out of the box. We built it with very few changes to their initial
concept. It is a pleasure to work with an architect who listens. |

The reason we use MGA
is simple. They can quickly take our needs and come up with the answer,
whether it is a freestanding branch, an in-store, or a remodel. Their
prototype branch design for our Coppell location has been very well received
by Comerica staff and customers, and has been duplicated with minor changes
in Houston. |

Director of Real Estate

"Our ribbon cutting took
place this week. My board and I report the following:
McCleary/German Associates listened, advised, and
gave us exactly what we asked for - even better than we imagined.
Communications were excellent and clear during the
job.
The low bid was within 3% of the original budget
established by the architect. the second lowest bid was only $1,000
higher.
There were no additive change orders during
construction other than minor ones in connection with owner requested
signage and graphics and data systems."

|
| "McCleary/German
Associates has a very strong reputation among...area bankers. they have
tremendous experience with a variety of projects and are used to working
with limited budgets and tight schedules.
I would not hesitate to recommend them to any banker
needing expertise in building design, remodeling or interior design. They
specialize in bank buildings and therefore are able to understand a
banker's needs efficiently and translate them into a functional
affordable design." |

Chairman of the Board

| "Our customers and
employees both have enthusiastically endorsed the firm's work. we have a
new company-wide image and customer awareness within our market area. My
close working relationship throughout the project with the firm has been excellent." |

President
Fort Bend Federal Savings and Loan Association |

| "I would like to comment
about their performance as architects, because it was noteworthy during
the design and construction o four 17,000 S.F. building.
First, they know what they are doing when it comes to
banks, construction, furniture, equipment, etc. Any tie I had a question
they either answered it immediately or researched the problem to get me
the a necessary information as quickly as possible.
Second, they always listened to what I wanted. If I
had an idea or a specific request, they always evaluated its merit and
gave me options on how to do it within our limited budget.
Third, they're very patient. Out building committee
changed it mind many times, requesting different economic alternatives,
different size buildings, and even an analysis of our customer base
related to our location. MGA provided us with budgets, building deigns and
several detailed reports and presentation, all of which were crucial in
our decision-making process."
Fourth, they've given us the building we wanted, and
at a cost which was originally budgeted.
If you're contemplating a new building or remodeling
your old one, I don't think there is another company that would be a
better partner during the process.

| "McCleary/German's scheme
was more attractive and more marketable, presented a much stronger image
and was undeniable a better use of the bank's real estate. After due
consideration of the ideas presented that day, I decided to change
architects. My relationship with McCleary/German proved to be all I hoped
for. the firm provided turn-key design services including architecture,
interior design, graphic design and equipment consulting. The results were
and still are a definite success." |

"My people and I are comfortable in
working and communicating with you and your firm in Houston. With a
minimal number of trips to Texarkana on your part, we have together
accomplished the following:
1. The complete renovation of our
two-story headquarters building at Central Mall to the most favorable
response of employees, friends and customers.
2. The design of a merchandising
system for all six of our locations.
3. Renovation plans for two
freestanding branches (now under construction).
4. A new logo and
brand-identity/exterior graphics program being accomplished throughout
our system.
5. Conceptual planning for the
renovation of our in-mall store and our downtown motor bank.
I look forward to continuing our
innovative relationship as we increase our market share in Texarkana, and
I would recommend your services to my cohorts in the banking
industry."

Chairman of the Board
The Texarkana National Bank |

| "McCleary/German
Associates was employed because we knew that they knew banks. Within two
days of our first meeting, they had prepared a complete budget, a site
plan to submit for Bellaire approval, and a detailed time schedule. Two
weeks later, they had floor plans which were exactly what we said we
wanted. And they prepared a drawing of the building which we used in our
annual report and in the newspaper announcements.
Our board, officers and employees are most pleased
with the new building, which is under construction, and our customers have
complimented also.
I would recommend McCleary/German Associates without
reservation." |

| "First City, Texas has
recently employed McCleary/German Associates to help us plan our branch of
the future and re-configure several of our banks.
Their initial job involved designing a prototype new
branch for First City in the Woodlands. We are most pleased with the
building. Not only is it attractive, but their attention to details has
enabled us to successfully implement new concepts in retail
merchandising." |
