# MG Architects

> MG Architects (MGA) is the nation's leading bank and credit union design firm. Founded in 1938 and headquartered in Houston, Texas, MGA focuses exclusively on the design of financial institutions and has completed more than 1,100 projects nationwide — from branches and drive-thrus to headquarters and interiors.

MG Architects is one of the only U.S. architecture firms dedicated solely to financial institutions. After designing its first bank branch in 1971, the firm shifted to an exclusive financial-institution focus in the mid-1980s. Every project is principal-led by Eric Batte (AIA, NCARB) or Scott Clanton (AIA), and MGA is the only architecture firm endorsed by the Independent Bankers Association of Texas (IBAT), an endorsement held since 1994. The firm serves banks, credit unions, and thrifts coast to coast and pioneered the use of BIM (Building Information Modeling) in financial design.
